My name is Annu.
I am an institutional entrepreneur, writer, CEO, poet, documentary film maker, engineer and full-time daydreamer - from Helsinki, Finland.
My vocation has to do with tackling the things that cannot be tackled with the rational mind alone - but require stepping into the unknown, the uncontrollable and the ambiguous.
Currently I'm working on shaking Finland out of apathy via Kasvuryhmä and gradually building understanding for my long-term life mission and love/hate project The Real Leadership Gap.
I believe that most suffering in the history of mankind has, in fact, not been caused by the obvious acts of cruelty and evil (e.g. murder, rape, and so forth). On the contrary, I think the majority of our needless suffering is a result of far trickier phenomena of human existence that work in delicate ways to hinder our growth and happiness.
With this realisation, I nowadays verbalise my professional life mission as: To identify and make visible the subtle ways of cruelty and evil that cause the majority of the unnecessary and unproductive human suffering - and enable, encourage and incentivise institutional and transformational change to decrease that suffering. This may sound abstract, so you can click here to read what it means.
